The same wall, on the day of a celebration.

The roses are still there. The brick is still there. Something in the house has shifted — it is no longer quiet. Colour enters the structure: green, mauve, pink, coral, and peach.

A grid that holds its ground. A floral medallion that punctuates, not decorates.

The bedroom. The dining table. The room one returns to without thinking.
